I love this word because it has a cluster of meanings. First it&#8217;s a food. A biscuit is a British cookie. Here&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2015\/06\/01\/21-british-biscuits-ranked-from-worst-to-best-the-definitive-list-5224653\/\">site<\/a> that rates 21 of them, with phrases such as,<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As British as Michael Caine, roundabouts and glaring at but not saying anything to people who jump the queue, these are little pieces of perfection&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My husband&#8217;s aunt, always served her shortbread biscuits with Sherry &#8211; a nice touch! I only make cookies (biscuits) at Christmas, when I make so many we&#8217;re still eating them on Valentines Day.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lifeiswhathappens.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/teacup-1.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em;margin-right: 1em\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1419\" data-original-width=\"1600\" height=\"283\" src=\"http:\/\/lifeiswhathappens.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/teacup-1.jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>In North America, a biscuit is a slightly leavened savoury scone. It&#8217;s a staple in dishes, such as, chicken and biscuits. However, I do make pureed soups often. I always make a tomato &#8220;bisque&#8221; from the fresh tomatoes in the garden. Yesterday, I even made a cooked cucumber and avocado soup, from two runaway cucumbers I found in the weeds. It was delicious! I was given a doll every year I can remember, until the age of 12. I still have my mother&#8217;s doll. I have books on dolls &#8211; how to dress them, how to make their fine porcelain heads and how to assemble their articulated bodies. I also have books on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Cloth-Dolls-How-Make-Them\/dp\/0844226327\/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1534683291&amp;sr=1-6&amp;keywords=cloth+dolls\">cloth dolls<\/a>, again how to sew them, stuff them and embroider their whimsical faces. I have knit period costumes for barbie dolls and I may just have to buy this book of paper dolls from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Tom-Tierney-St-Laurent-Fashion-Dover\/dp\/B00IBOU714\/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1534683109&amp;sr=1-2&amp;keywords=yves+st+laurent+paper+dolls\">Yves St. Laurent collection<\/a> &#8211; not bisque, but I can dream.<\/p>\n<p>The pictures?
