In fact I like many of the simple pleasures the poet lists. I love all the condiments to be sure. However, I will add marinated anchovies preferably eaten in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m not a fan of windy days, but I do like sunny ones, especially in Spring when the lime green buds gild the trees their freshness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Summer I don\u2019t need a fire. I see them in passing as they wisk through their lives, while I both read and live the poems I find here and there. And then there is the music, the folk songs, which have been in my soul\u2026\u2026forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, yes, I almost forgot my single bed to sleep in alone, while the earth turns through the equinoxes-lengthening then shortening-shimmering days into twinkling nights before a fresh dawn, which brings another poem to both read and live and maybe write about before I die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I lead a simple life.
