It’s Saturday!  I have my Lottery ticket and……..<\/p>\n

1. Luckily, I managed to find a birthday card (it only took 5 stores) that didn’t tell the 17-teen-year-old turning 18, to “go wild” or worse on his birthday. What ever happened to jokes about Acne – maybe that’s not funny to an 18-year-old!<\/p>\n

2. Also, fortunately, I found a great article about the 400th anniversary of the King James version of the bible, that I was able to write about (about which I was able to write) in an earlier blog (Song of Solomon) – well where would you be without eccentrics!<\/p>\n

3. Another knitting friend Brenda who reads the Guardian<\/a> (Britain) sent me a link to some fun knitting articles.  Here’s the lucky link for you to enjoy too! There are instructions for knitting a Jack Russell Terrier among other things. Actually I would make it bigger & felt it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

4. Fortunately, my camera and it’s battery (charged) were here – not at work- to take pictures of this gorgeous Amaryllis that has been on our dinning room table since Boxing Day. It has 3 stalks all with four blooms each and it looks like another stalk is starting. This was really a lucky buy on my husband’s part for my Christmas present. My Amaryllis to him needs a real shot of “luck.” These are not the gifts of the Magi; but they are magical, if and when they bloom. I’ll keep you posted.<\/p>\n
