Monday, Monday…..

Walked for well over half an hour yesterday, day-two of my challenge – just another 28 to go and if it’s to become a habit, then it has to go waaaaay beyond a mere 28 days. I’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, I have been working through some of the links in highexistence.com. The first post I decided to read was titled “How and Where to Educate Yourself.” It’s basically a listing of free educational sites on the internet. There are direct links to Udacity – I tried one of their computer courses once. I didn’t finish it – not sure why. But the course was well presented and they have lots more courses, not just on computers and code. Maybe I should have started at code academy, which is also listed.

Assortment of used books

The link I chose was 12 Dozen Places To Educate Yourself On-Line For Free. Now that would be144 a.k.a. a “gross.” This site has convenient headings, such as, Science and Health, Business and Money,  History and World Culture, Law, Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, English and Communications, etc. Listed as a sub-heading under English and Communications was a course called “Life-Writing” – A complete text of the 9-week writing class a professor taught for years at UCLA.

I opened up week one. I could maybe do this in a year 🙂 It wasn’t difficult and it was presented in a very easy almost humorous style, but it was “packed”!!

Now if you thought that your average Monday was going to be busy, try adding one of these courses into the mix.

Have a perfect day!!
