It’s Saturday and fairly relaxed so I should be open for some good luck to-day. Let’s see.
1. Fortunately, I just had to ask the 17 year-old once to go up and shovel a neighbour’s walk. In others years, it would have taken 5 or 6 requests. There is light at the end of the parenting tunnel!
2. I was able to clean the upstairs of the house in no time at all. One less person in the house makes a difference. Now if I could only manage to have fewer cats…
3. Luckily, the sun came out about 3:00pm, which gave me a burst of energy, so I finished the housework – even vacuumed the basement stairs and went with my husband for his 3 mile walk!
4. I am a city person. I was actually born in Toronto, so the fact that I am within walking distance to about 100 restaurants (I will count them all someday), makes me feel very lucky.
Today was a little slow in the luck department. My lottery ticket didn’t win; but I checked out the numbers and the last time 5 of the 6 won was 1991. This is due to come around again. Sunday should be better!
