Another satirical poem from Brian Bilston made me think of all the poems I haven’t written partly because, as l have said before, I don’t write poetry and partly because l share a similar dislike for many of the topics listed.
So if I am to set aside my goal of only positives in what remains of my life, I could indulge myself by listing a few negatives in the form of “never to be written” poem titles.
1. Ode to a perfume call “Bare Shoulders” or why are you wearing only half of your blouse?
2. Blue Jean Tragedy on the faux poor or “buddy could you spare a million, I need to mend these jeans I purposely mutilated to look needy.”
3. I’m sorry I can’t save your life. I can’t find an injection spot anywhere on your body which is covered in tattoos.
Clearly I don’t admire current fashion trends.
I’m sure there are more poems that I will never write but that’s enough negativity for now. So I will have to live Brian’s poem in the deep recesses of my brain and pretend to be positive or at least ignore all fashion that irritates me.

If I could live my life in fabric, it would be patchwork – bits and pieces sewn together in artistically random placements to create an interesting, if not completely organized, life.

Poems of patchwork – the story of my life.
