How to make an ordinary day extraordinary, do something extraordinary!!
The poet has taken very ordinary “things” and raised them to the extraordinary by writing them into a poem. I will now respect more my tea/coffee cup. I won’t mind climbing the stairs. In fact I can treat it as a prayer.
When I reach a window I can say “Amen.”

I will pay more homage now to ordinary things – pictures on the wall that I almost never look at. They look at me daily. Do they never get bored?
Those books in a stack on the table begging to be read or reread while I idle on my phone
I did celebrate the cranberry muffin I had for “elevenses” today made almost sacred with my coffee in a favourite mug.
I think if I work at it I can have more extraordinary days. Dinner tonight is turkey soup. Maybe I’ll use the good bowls.
Have an extraordinary day!!
