Silliness

Into each day a little silliness must creep. I found this online today. Well more correctly it found me. It must be the approaching full moon or some alignment in the heavens that is making all this giddiness. For example –

Most of these I know –

1
2 Romeo and Juliet
3 Macbeth
4 Midsummer Night’s Dream
5
6
7 Henry IV Part 1
8 Othello
9
10 Twelfth Night
11
12 King Lear
13 Julius Caesar
14 Anthony and Cleopatra

My task for today will be filling in the rest.
The poem reminds me a little of the poetry of Richard Armour who wrote

Shake and shake
The ketchup bottle
None’ll come
And then a lot’ll

Or Ogden Nash

The song of canaries
Never varies
And when they’re moulting
They’re pretty revolting

I have a whole book of Ogden Nash’s poetry so you are lucky I stopped here.

Clearly I’ve been watching too many reels from the old Monty Python series.

Time to get serious. Don’t count on it.
