I lived this poem today on my walk to the Brickworks. There were few people on the trail so I could sing and not worry that someone would hear me singing off key. It was a glorious Indian Summer’s day just perfect to sing a few Christmas carols, The Unquiet Grave, My Country is My Cathedral….to name just a few. I live an eccentric life in poetry and music.

Yes there were thistles, a dusty path and dry leaves but there was also sunshine, harmony and a chance to escape what is expected to relish all the surprises of an unexpected day. So blessed to be able to do this.
