Thoughtless Thursday

OK if we can have wordless Wednesdays, I’m sure that we can have thoughtless Thursdays too…someone posted this video to my FB wall and I have to say that it is very cute.  It doesn’t require a lot of thought and there are times when we just need to “veg out” and enjoy something that […]

If I could……

There is another small challenge on the blog posting site that I visit from time to time.  Actually, I was encouraged to complete the novel writing challenge, by one of the other blog posters there.  He was doing the same challenge and finished on the Wednesday.  His enthusiasm buoyed me up and I kept going.

Dreamachine…..

Yesterday there was an article in The Globe about a “Dreamachine.” This is a device that has been around in some form or other for over 50 years.  Well, two Canadians from Ft. Erie and Niagara Falls, respectively – have decided to do a commercial run of about 650 machines that will be available on-line

Celebrate November 1

Well, it’s still raining and it rained on Hallowe’en too.  We didn’t have a lot of kids out and the ones that braved the steady pour looked very wet.  This is so sad.  Hallowe’en is one of the few holidays that kids from all backgrounds can enjoy together – they/we need a break!! On the

I always thought that it was just memorable because it commemorated the great stock market crash of 1929.

Go-Daddy – went…..

It always amazes me that as soon as you create something – there is something out there that wants to destroy it.  Maybe this is just basic physics, in that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction – so create something interesting and those who are bored will find a way to

KD, Gold Fish and the fine art of parenting…

OK I raised my kids on Gold Fish crackers and KD – that’s Kraft Dinner not K. D. Lang.  Some say that if you have a child until the age of seven, you have them for life and I think that they must be right, because my 30-year-old still eats KD and my daughter at 20, bought

Dry Bones Cable II

When I was taking the video for the previous post, I was hoping that each sail would be opened, one at a time so that there would be this magnificence tall ship, under full sail, cruising off into the sunset, the way it happens in the movies. Well do movies imitate life?  Or do we
